Nu har det fångats ännu fler storflundror i Tromsöområdet. Att få en flundra på över hundra kilo är den dröm, men att två fångas samma dag hör inte till vanligheterna. Men detta var vad som hände gästerna vid Mikkelvik Brygge när det fick två stycken jätteflundror på 107 kilo styck!
i really do not understand why they kill those big halibuts which are so important for the species.
the meat is also not good to eat because of toxics.
these female halibuts are old and important for reproduction.
just eat the 1 meter till 1.20 mtr halibuts.

Thank you for the comment. I really agree with you that they should practice Catch & Release on the old halibuts. I think that one way to inform the fishing tourists are that the camp owners teach and learn about fishing in Norway before they go out. Our mission on this site is to report from fishing all over Norway. And we appreciate comments on our articles. I hope that there will be rules for the halibuts in Norway.
